Malaikottai Valiban, the upcoming film starring Mohanlal and directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, is set to go on floors on Wednesday. The film is produced by John & Mary Creative, Amen Movie Monastery, Century Films, and Max Lab. 

The film's technical crew includes cinematographer Madhu Neelakandan, music composer Prashanth Pillai and editor Deepu Joseph. Malaikottai Valiban is scripted by PS Rafeeque. According to reports, the film will be predominantly shot in Rajasthan. It is also speculated that Mohanlal will play a wrestler in the film. 

Meanwhile, Lijo is gearing up for the release of his directorial Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam, starring Mammootty, on January 19. On the other hand, Mohanlal will be seen in Alone, which will hit the theatres on January 26.
