Kalabhavan Shajohn, last seen playing the lead in the family drama Santhosham, will be next headlining an investigative thriller. Titled CID Ramachandran Retd SI, the film is directed by debutant Sanoop Sathyan. He has also co-written the script with Aneesh V Sivadas. The project got launched recently with a pooja ceremony in Thiruvananthapuram. The makers are planning to begin full-fledged shooting in April.

This upcoming film will have Shajohn playing the role of an ex-cop who happens to investigate a challenging case after retirement. Baiju, Anumol, Sudheer Karamana, Indrans, VK Baiju, Prem Kumar and many others are part of the cast. Kaanekkane-fame Joe Christo Xavier is the cinematographer, and music is by Anu B Nair. It is produced by AD 1877 Pictures and Sense Launch Entertainment.
