Dileep to team up with Dear Friend director Vineeth Kumar

Actor-turned-filmmaker Vineeth Kumar, who recently made the Tovino Thomas-starrer Dear Friend, will next direct a film with Dileep in the lead role. It is backed by the latter's home banner Graand Productions. This upcoming film is scripted by Rajesh Raghavan, who has earlier penned films like Vaadhyar (2012), 3 Dots (2013), Onnum Mindathe (2014) and Aravindante Athidhikal (2018).

Though the makers are yet to announce any other details, they recently released a casting call looking for an actor between the age group of 25-33. It was particularly mentioned that they would prefer someone who knows kuthiyottam.

Meanwhile, Dileep has several other projects lined up. His film with Udal director Ratheesh Reghunandan got launched only recently. Also starring Neeta Pillai, Pranitha Subhash, Manoj K Jayan, Ajmal Ameer, and Shine Tom Chacko, the film is backed by Super Good Films and Iffaar Media.

Dileep also has Bandra, directed by Ramaleela-fame Arun Gopy, and Raffi's Voice of Sathyanathan in different stages of production. Joshiy's On Air Eapen and Parakkum Pappan, a superhero film with Viyaan Vishnu, are his other upcoming projects in the pipeline.
