The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film Neru, starring Mohanlal in the lead role, unveiled a song titled Roohe. Composed by Vishnu Shyam with lyrics penned by Vinayak Sasikumar, the song has been sung by Karthik.

Neru, directed by Jeethu Joseph, also stars an ensemble cast that includes Sidhique, Priya Mani, Anaswara Rajan, Santhi Mayadevi, Jagadish, and Ganesh Kumar.

Billed as a legal drama in which Mohanlal plays an advocate, the earlier released trailer showcases Mohanlal as special Public Prosecutor Vijayamohan, who hasn't attended a trial in years. He makes his comeback by appearing for a visually challenged young woman, played by Anaswara Rajan.

Here is the song

Neru marks Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph's collaboration after the Drishyam films 12th Man and the yet-to-be-released Ram. Jeethu has scripted the film along with advocate Santhi Mayadevi, who earlier essayed a crucial role in Drishyam 2. On the technical side, the director has his regulars—cinematographer Satheesh Kurup, music director Vishnu Shyam, and editor VS Vinayak.

Produced by Antony Perumbavoor's Aashirvad Cinemas, the film is slated for release on December 21.
