Days ahead of its much-anticipated release in theatres, Dulquer Salmaan-starrer King of Kotha's trailer made it to the iconic Times Square in New York. This is the first Malayalam film to have its trailer played at Times Square. 

Sharing the news, Dulquer took to Instagram and posted a Reel video, wherein we can see a glimpse of the trailer being featured at Times Square. People on the streets of New York were seen cheering for the actor.

The actor said, "Cannot contain my excitement. King of Kotha has become the first Malayalam film to have its trailer played at New York City’s Times Square. Having visited the busy and vibrant Times Square several times, never even dreamed of appearing on the screens there. Big moment for me personally and the biggest tribute we can give to Malayalam Cinema."

Alongside Dulquer Salmaan, the film boasts an ensemble cast including Aishwarya Lakshmi, Shabir Kallarikkal, Prasanna, Gokul Suresh, Shammi Thilakan, Shanthi Krishna, and Anikha Surendran. Nimish Ravi is behind the camera lens and the musical talent of Shaan Rahman composing the score. 

King of Kotha is scheduled to hit the theatres on Thursday, August 24. The film is directed by Abhilash Joshiy in his directorial debut. The film is backed by Wayfarer Films and Zee Studio. The film will be released in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.
