We had earlier reported that actor-comedian-turned-director Nadirshah would be directing a film with a script penned by director-writer Raffi. The project was announced last year on the occasion of the Malayalam new year, Chingam 1. The latest update is that film will be launched on April 24, with a pooja ceremony.

The film is backed by Kalandoor Entertainment. Further information about the cast and crew is yet to be known. The upcoming film marks Kalandoor entertainments second production, with the first being Omar Lulu's directorial Nalla Samayam starring Irshad in the lead role. 

Meanwhile, Nadirshah's last release was the Jayasurya-starrer Eesho, which had a direct digital premiere on SonyLIV. Earlier this year, the Amar Akbar Anthony helmer also announced a new project with the writer duo Bibin George and Vishnu Unnikrishnan.

Raffi is gearing up for the release of his new directorial venture, Voice of Sathyanathan, starring Dileep. The film also stars Makarand Deshpande, Ramesh Pisharody, Siddique, Johny Antony, Veena Nandakumar, Joju George and Jafapathi Babu, among others.
