First single from Valatty, Arike Koottay, out

The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film, Valatty, featuring 11 dogs and a rooster as the leads, released the first single, Arike Koottay, on Thursday. Varun Sunil composed the song with lyrics penned by B K Harinarayanan. Ayraan and Shweta Mohan have lent their voices to the song. Written and directed by Devan, Valatty is bankrolled by Vijay Babu's production house Friday Film House.

The filmmaker and his team have been working on the project for over three years. It included adopting the dogs as puppies, rearing them, and training them. Earlier, the makers revealed that leading actors from Malayalam cinema have voice-acted for these animals, but they are yet to disclose their names. 

Valatty has Vishnu Panicker as the cinematographer and Ayoob Khan as the editor. Apart from Malayalam, the film is also planned to be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada.
