Ann Augustine and Murali Gopy will be headlining a new film titled Ayel. It is written and directed by Jiyen Krishnakumar, who last made the Tamil film, Run Baby Run. His last release in Malayalam was Tiyaan, which also had Murali Gopy as one of the leads.

On Monday, the makers of Ayel shared a first look featuring Ann Augustine. The film also stars Darsana Sudarsan and Shine Tom Chacko in prominent roles. It has music and lyrics by Murali Gopy. Cinematographer S Yuva and editor Ayoob Khan are also part of the technical crew. The film is produced by S Vinod Kumar under the banner of Mini Studio.

Apart from Ayel, Jiyen Krishnakumar and Murali Gopy are set to collaborate for another film. In a recent interview, Murali revealed that he will be starting its script works later this year.
