We had earlier reported about ​Shane Nigam and Sunny Wayne teaming up for a new film titled Vela. Billed as a crime drama, the film has Shane playing a cop's role for the first time in his career. The makers recently released his look from the film. It has him in a constable's attire.

Vela is directed by Syam Sasi and scripted by M Sajas. The film is centered around a police control room in Palakkad. Siddharth Bharathan and Aditi Balan essay other major roles.

Tamil composer Sam CS, who debuted in Malayalam with Odiyan, is handling the music in Vela. Suresh Rajan is the cinematographer and Mahesh Bhuvanend is the editor.

S George is producing Vela under the banner of Cyn-Cyl Celluloid. Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films will be releasing the film later this year.
