Asif Ali's Kotthu release rescheduled

The film marks the comeback of veteran director Sibi Malayil

Sibi Malayil's comeback film Kotthu starring Asif Ali was supposed to hit screens on September 23. The makers have now rescheduled the release to September 16.

Kotthu is a political drama set in North Kerala. According to the makers, the film’s crux revolves around a human killing another which is another form of barbarism in a modern civilised society. Along with Asif, Roshan Mathew plays a major role in it.

Scripted by Hemanth Kumar, Koththu also stars Nikhila Vimal, Sudev Nair, Ranjith, Suresh Krishna, and Vijilesh in supporting roles. The technical crew includes cinematographer Prashanth Raveendran, composers Jakes Bejoy and Kailas Menon. It is produced by filmmaker Ranjith and PM Sasidharan under the banner of Gold Coin Motion Picture Company.
