We had recently reported about Suraj Venjaramoodu starring in a film titled Madanolsavam. The film got launched on Thursday with a customary pooja ceremony.

Madanolsavam, inspired by a short story by E Santhosh Kumar, is scripted by writer-director Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval (Nna Thaan Case Kodu). His former associate Sudheesh Gopinath is making his directorial debut with this film. Ezra director Jay R Krishnan is also part of this project as the creative director.

Apart from Suraj, Madanolsavam also stars Babu Antony, Rajesh Madhavan, Sudhi Koppa, and Bhama Arun. Shehnad Jelal is handling the camera, with Vivek Harshan on editing. Christo Xavier is the music director. The film is backed by Ajith Vinayaka Films and will be shot in Kasaragod, Coorg, and Madikeri.

Suraj was last seen in the lead in Heaven, in which he played a cop. His next release will be veteran Harikumar's Auto Rickshawkarante Bharya. The film, which also stars Ann Augustine, is slated to hit screens on October 28. He also has Higuita, Roy, Acharu Varuhtiya Vina, and an untitled film with Lukka Chuppi director Bash Mohammed coming up.
