Tharun Moorthy's Saudi Vellakka passes through censor formalities

Ahead of the release of Saudi Vellakka, the upcoming film directed by Tharun Moorthy, which is set to release on December 2, has been certified with U by the censor board. 

Directed by Tharun Moorthy, Saudi Vellakka stars Lukman, Binu Pappu, Sudhi Koppa, Gokulan, Srindaa, Dhanya Ananyaa, and newcomer Devi Varma. The film is produced by Sandip Senan under the Urvasi theatres banner, which previously backed the National award-winning film Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum

Recently the film was screened at the Indian Panorama of the 53rd International Film Festival of India (IFFI). It was an official selection at the 21st Dhaka International Film Festival, 2023.

According to reports, the film is inspired by a real-life incident and it revolves around human emotions and discusses some relevant things that we experience in every household.

Earlier while speaking with us, director Tharun said, “When it comes to Saudi Vellakka, its USPs are humour and emotions that everyone can connect to, including youngsters.” The film's technical crew includes cinematographer Saran Velayudhan, editor Nishad Yusuf and music composer Paali Francis.
