Vivek Thomas: My next with Mohanlal will be a fanboy film

CE Features

We had earlier reported about Mohanlal signing a film with Athiran director Vivek Thomas. The project, tentatively titled L 353, was announced with Shibu Baby John's John & Mary Creative, Century Films and Max Lab as the producers. However, with the same production team recently announcing the Mohanlal-Lijo Jose Pellissery film, it lead to speculations that Vivek's project got dropped. The director has now clarified that the project is still on cards, and he is just waiting for Mohanlal to allot dates.

Speaking at the press meet of his upcoming film The Teacher, starring Amala Paul, Vivek said, "I've worked with Mohanlal sir before in a few ad films. That's how I got the opportunity to pitch an idea to him. We are all aware of his huge body of work, and there's nothing much that he hasn't done before. He still liked the idea, and I can assure that it will be a 200 per cent fanboy film."

Vivek's film with Mohanlal is scripted by Kendra Sahitya Akademi award winner PV Shaji Kumar. He earlier co-wrote Take Off and Puthan Panam. He has also penned The Teacher.

Mohanlal, who is currently shooting for Jeethu Joseph's Ram, will begin Lijo's film in January. Meanwhile, he also has Empuraan with Prithviraj coming up. The team is planning to commence production early next year.
