Rima Kallingal plays Bhargavi in Aashiq Abu's Neelavelicham

Neelavelicham is the remake of Bhargavi Nilayalam (1964)

Rima Kallingal plays Bhargavi in Neelavelicham, an upcoming film directed by Aashiq Abu. The makers unveiled the character poster on Saturday on social media. The film is expected to release in December. The poster reveals Rima in a dance pose with her robe spread like butterfly wings at the backdrop of a serene scenic location.

Neelavelicham is the remake of Bhargavi Nilayalam (1964) which has Vaikom Muhammad Basheer’s screenplay based on his short story Neelavelicham.

The film also stars Tovino Thomas, Roshan Mathew, Shine Tom Chacko and Rajesh Madhavan. Neelavelicham’s technical crew includes cinematographer Gireesh Gangadharan, editor Saiju Sreedharan and music composers Bijibal and Rex Vijayan.

The original 1964 film Bhargavi Nilayam was directed by Vincent Master and featured Madhu, Prem Nazeer, Vijayanirmala, Adoor Bhasi and Kuthiravattam Pappu.
