Highway 2 is a revenge thriller based on a real-life incident, reveals Suresh Gopi

Recently, it was announced that Suresh Gopi and director Jayaraj would be reuniting for Highway 2. While it was speculated to be a sequel of their 1995-released film Highway, Suresh Gopi has clarified that it won't be a continuation of the same story.

In a recent media interaction, the veteran revealed that Highway 2 is a revenge thriller based on a real-life murder that occured in Vyttila highway in Kochi. He also hinted that his character in the film will have shades of an anti-hero. The makers are planning to shoot it in highways across India.

Suresh Gopi, whose Paappan will be hitting screens on July 29, also has Ottakomban with debutant Mathews Thomas, an untitled film (SG 251) with Rahul Ramachandran and another film co-starring Parvathy Thiruvothu and Anupama Parameswaran lined up.
