Kotthu, the upcoming film starring Asif Ali and Roshan Mathew, is all set to release in theatres on September 23, the makers announced.

The film is written by Hemanth Kumar and directed by Sibi Malayil. It is produced by Ranjith and PM Sasidharan under the Gold Coin Motion Picture Company. Billed as a political thriller, the film also stars Nikhila Vimal, Sudev Nair, Suresh Krishna and Vijilesh Karayad in supporting roles.

According to the makers, the film’s crux revolves around a human killing another which is another form of barbarism in morden civilised society. The technical crew includes cinematographer Prashanth Raveendran, composers Jakes Bejoy and Kailas Menon. The film was censored with U/A certification, and the makers had earlier planned to release it in August. However, it has now been pushed to September.
