Veteran Malayalam actor Nedumbram Gopi died at a private hospital in Thiruvalla, Kerala, on Tuesday.

The actor was 85.

According to media reports, Nedumbram Gopi was earlier working in Kerala State Electricity Board. He made his acting debut with the 2004 Malayalam award-winning drama Kaazcha helmed by Blessy. The film starred Mammootty, and Gopi played the former's father.

Gopi appeared in minor roles and worked with prominent personalities, such as filmmaker Jayaraj, actors Suresh Gopi, Jayaram, among others.
