Third installment of Mohanlal's Drishyam in works?

In what may come pleasant news, speculations are rife that the Malayalam film Drishyam will have a third installment underway. While an official announcement on the same has not been made by the makers, a poster featuring actor Mohanlal in handcuffs has been circulating on social media.

According to reports, a new Mohanlal project is set to be announced on Wednesday (August 17). However, it is not yet known if it will be the third installment of Drishyam.

So far, Drishyam is a two-part film, which features Mohanlal in the lead role, and directed by Jeethu Joseph. However, it is to be noted that Jeethu Joesph had not ruled out the option of continuing the frachise and had said that he is open to developing it. 

The film follows the story of Georgekutty, who does a clever cover-up of murder, in order to protect his family. Drishyam films also feature Meena, Asha Sarath, Esther Anil, Ansiba Hassan, among others. Both the films received positive reception.
