We had earlier reported about Mahesh Narayanan's next feature Ariyippu, starring Kunchacko Boban and Divyaprabha, getting selected up for the international competition section of the 75th Locarno Film Festival. The team members, including Mahesh Narayanan, Kunchacko Boban, and Divyaprabha, attended the festival's commencing ceremony on Wednesday.

Kunchacko Boban, who is also one of the producers of the film, took to social media to share his excitement. He has written, "After 25 years in the film industry, it’s going to be my first ever experience attending a film festival anywhere. And to start with Locarno, it’s a great blessing and honor."

Ariyippu has its script penned by Mahesh Narayanan. He has also edited the film along with Rahul Radhakrishnan. Loveleen Mishra, Kannan Arunachalam, Danish Hussain, and Faisal Malik are also part of the cast. Sanu John Varghese is the cinematographer, and Sushin Shyam provides the original score.
