Malayalam actor Kainakary Thankaraj passes away

Malayalam actor Kainakary Thankaraj breathed his last at his home in Keralapuram, Kollam on Sunday. He was aged 77.

Kainakary Thankaraj is noted for his roles in films like Ee Ma Yau, Lucifer, Amen and #Home. He made his acting debut with the Prem Nazir-starrer Aanappaachanwhich released in 1978. His last on-screen appearance will be in the upcoming Lijo Jose Pellissery directorial Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam, starring Mammootty in the lead.

Kainakary Thankaraj is the son of popular theatre artiste Krishnankutty Bhagavathar. He has reportedly acted in over 10,000 plays and has also bagged the award for best theatre actor.

Many actors and technicians from the Malayalam industry paid tributes to him through social medias.
