Actor Yash is gearing up for the November 05 release of director Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, where he stars as demon king Ravan. Also starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, the film is produced by Namit Malhotra of Prime Focus Studios and Yash himself under his Monster Mind Creations banner. Recently, ahead of Ramayana's theatrical release, the makers of the film held a world premiere for it in Los Angeles.

Interestingly, the special screening proved a memorable experience for the KGF star's children, Ayra and Yatharv, marking their first film viewing experience in a theatre. Ayra is only seven, whereas Yatharv turns as old as his sister this Friday. The film marks a major milestone in Yash's career: his first acting credit in Hindi cinema. Now, for the actor's offspring, it has turned out to be a first viewing experience and that too with a story as old as time.

Ramayana tells the story of a prince (Ram) and princess (Sita) whose exile marks the start of a journey that legends are made of. The couple's tale of duty, love, and destiny face its biggest challenge yet when a demon king named Ravan abducts her, causing Ram to wage war with his biggest adversary.

Shridhar Raghavan has adapted the foundational text alongside co-writer and director Nitesh Tiwari. The film has a runtime of three hours and 15 minutes. Its cast also includes Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Sheeba Chadha as Manthara, and Arun Govil as King Dashrath.

On the technical front, the film has music by Academy Award winners Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman as well as visual effects by eight-time Oscar winner DNEG. The film has already earned around 17.50 crore in advance bookings, according to Sacnilk data.
