The first schedule of Devi Mahatme, directed by Nagaraj Somayaji, has been completed following a start marked by a traditional muhurat at the Brahmi temple in Kamalashile, Udupi. The production was carried out across locations in and around Kundapura, with the team now preparing to commence its second schedule.

The film marks a shift in tone for Somayaji, who previously directed Maryade Prashne. With Devi Mahatme, he moves into the comedy thriller genre, combining elements of humour with suspense-driven storytelling, and the makers have shared the first few still from the sets, featuring Rangayana Raghu.

Commenting on the first phase of the shoot, Somayaji noted that the team worked through demanding weather conditions in coastal Karnataka. He added that the schedule was completed with a relatively small technical crew, allowing for a controlled and efficient production process.

The project is produced by Vidhya Gandhirajan under the UVG Studio banner, with active involvement from the production side during the shoot.

Somayaji has also contributed to the screenplay, alongside Aravind Kuplikar, Bhaskar Bangera, Guru Arya and Vadiraj Shetty.

On the technical front, cinematography is handled by SK Rao, with music composed by Likith Prasad K Shetty.

With its initial schedule completed, Devi Mahatme moves into the next stage of production as the team continues work on the film.
