A real-life-inspired love story set between Puttur and Bengaluru is at the heart of the upcoming film, Love 2 Lassi. Produced by RKB Films (Bharathi Srinivas Raj) and directed by Hariprana, the film draws on an incident from 2006–07 and unfolds as a grounded romance.

Director Hariprana said, “It is a true love story between a girl from Puttur and a boy from Bengaluru." He added that it is based on a real incident and that the consent of those involved has been obtained. He also highlighted his long-standing interest in storytelling and songwriting, which he says shaped the film’s narrative approach.

Shot extensively in and around Puttur and Sullia, the film features Jeevitha and Aryan, who have worked together in Ludo, in the lead roles, alongside Jagan, Tara, Vaishnavi, and others in key roles. Jeevitha said, “Even during shooting, the story felt very compelling, and the songs have enhanced it further.”

Aryan, who previously worked as a film reporter, expressed his happiness that the film is based on a real-life story and appreciated the producer for backing a debut team.

Music director Vinu Manasu has composed four songs for the film. At the launch, Orata Sri said a debut film is like an 'SSLC exam' for any director and wished the team success, while Saptagiri Gowda called the title “a blend of two sweet words” and appreciated its uniqueness. The film's editing is by M Arjun Dhoni.
