Mother Promise to bring a high-energy blend of chaos and comedy

Mother Promise is backed by actor Dhananjay under his Daali Pictures banner

A Sharadhaa

The first trailer of Mother Promise, backed by actor Dhananjay under his Daali Pictures banner, has set the stage for a fast-paced crime comedy, which is hitting theatres on July 10.

Directed by Poorna Mysore, a close friend of Dhananjay, the film carries an easy, lived-in energy that comes from a team clearly enjoying the process of telling this story together.

From the start, the trailer throws us into a crowded, chaotic world of gang rivalries, cricket betting, street-level crime and unexpected emotional turns. At its heart, though, is a strong mother sentiment that grounds all the madness. The tone jumps between humour, tension and emotion, never settling too long in one space, keeping things lively and unpredictable.

Dhananjay appears in a key role within this explosive setup, sharing screen space with an ensemble cast that includes Naga Bhushan, Vinaya Prasad, Geetha and Gurudut. Each character adds a different shade to this bustling, high-energy world.

Visually, the film carries a gritty but colourful texture, thanks to cinematography by Rahul Roy. The editing and fast cuts keep the pace tight, while Naveen Shyam’s music adds rhythm and punch to both the comic and emotional moments. The creative direction by Shashank (known for Daredevil Mustafa) gives the narrative an extra edge in tone and presentation.

What stands out most is the trailer’s unpredictability; it moves quickly between comedy, action and sentiment, almost like a rollercoaster that doesn’t pause for breath. It positions Mother Promise as a youthful, mass entertainer built on friendship, crime and emotion, designed for a wide theatrical audience.
