While juggling two of Indian cinema’s most anticipated pan-India projects, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups and Ramayana, actor Yash found time for something far removed from film sets and release schedules: reaching out to a fan battling cancer.
The actor recently made a video call to Sunil, president of the Yash Fans Association in Shivamogga district, who is currently undergoing treatment for cancer. The interaction has since been circulated widely on social media.
Despite being immersed in the demanding schedules of Toxic and Ramayana, both films in which he is not only acting but also serving as co-producer, Yash’s gesture has drawn praise for its warmth and sincerity.
According to reports, Yash first enquired about Sunil’s condition and also spoke to his family, offering words of reassurance during what is clearly a difficult phase. More than the call itself, it was what he told his fan that resonated deeply.
“You are not alone in this fight. I am there with you,” Yash reportedly told Sunil.
The video has since gone viral, with many applauding the actor for remembering and supporting the fan community that has stood by him over the years.
On the professional front, Yash is working on Toxic, which is being shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, with a planned release in multiple languages. The ensemble cast of the film consists of Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, Kiara Advani, and Tara Sutaria, among others. Though initially expected to arrive on June 4, the film has been postponed, with a revised release date yet to be announced.
He will also be seen as Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, a two-part film series. The first instalment is slated for a Deepavali 2026 release, with the second instalment set for a Deepavali 2027 release.
