Arjun Janya gives young singing sensation Anushka her playback debut

The reality show singer marks her playback singing debut in a star-studded Kannada film

Young singing sensation Anushka Kaginere, who has won hearts across Karnataka and audiences worldwide with her distinctive opera singing style on Zee Kannada's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2026, is all set to make her playback singing debut in a major Kannada film.

Hailing from Kaginere in Sakleshpur taluk of Karnataka's Malnad region and currently based in Bengaluru, Anushka, is the youngest contestant among the 19 finalists selected through statewide auditions for Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2026. She is also the only participant from the Old Mysuru region to make it to the final stage of the competition.

The daughter of Chartered Accountant and actor Adarsh Gundooraj and Dr Deepashree, Anushka has consistently impressed judges and audiences alike over the past two-and-a-half months, earning five Golden Buzzers. Her unique operatic performances have quickly made her one of the breakout talents of the season.

Recognising her exceptional musical ability, acclaimed music director Arjun Janya has given Anushka the opportunity to perform an operatic segment in a song for an upcoming star-studded Kannada film. The recording has already been completed, marking her official playback singing debut.
