At a time when courtroom dramas are making a quiet return in Kannada cinema, Parthan Parapancha bills itself as a suspense thriller that unfolds through intense legal battles and shifting truths. Written and directed by Sriharsha MN, the film is produced by Seetha Harshavardhan under the Siri Cinemas banner and consists of an ensemble cast which includes Vikas, Mandara, Rangayana Raghu, Amit, and Sampath Maitreya.

Speaking about the film, director Sriharsha says the story blends investigation with emotional conflict. “It is a suspense thriller told within a courtroom drama format. Raghu sir plays the defence lawyer, and Seetha plays the public prosecutor. The entire story is driven by a single case and how it keeps changing direction,” he explained, adding that the film’s narrative is designed to keep the audience guessing till the end. He also confirmed that filming is currently underway on a specially erected court set, after completing an earlier schedule.

Producer and actor Seetha Harshavardhan calls the project a special one for her. “We have assembled a wonderful team. Along with producing the film through Siri Cinemas, I am also playing an important role. Balancing both has been demanding, but the script made it impossible to say no,” she said.

Vikas, who plays a lawyer, says the film is closely connected to present-day realities. “It is not exaggerated. The situations feel real, and the way one case develops through twists and turns is very engaging. The director has structured it in a way that keeps adding new layers,” he noted.

Mandara, who was last seen in Blank, said she was waiting for a role that offered emotional depth. “My character is a simple girl with a quiet life. It is not flashy, but it is strong. The way my role was written made me immediately connect with the story,” she said.

Amit, who plays a character named Mike, described his role as 'surprising' and said it brings an unexpected turn in the narrative. Rangayana Raghu, who essays the defence lawyer, said that the film explores an incident that few would anticipate. “After films like Tagaru, Agnyaathavaasi and Shaakahari, this is a very different space for me. Every clue leads to something new, and that is what makes it interesting,” he said, also mentioning that Sriharsha comes from a strong writing background.

Cinematographer Jai Anand said nearly half of the shoot is planned inside the courtroom set as part of a 45-day schedule. Music director Ananth Aryan revealed that the film has four songs sung by Nagaraj, Sriharsha Belmannu and Jaskaran Singh, and that none follow routine formats. He is also composing the background score.

Dialogue writer Anivarya summed up the film’s tone by saying, “Every character is afraid of being exposed at some point. In that sense, the defence lawyer becomes the emotional centre of the story.”
