As Chowkidar gets ready to hit the big screens on the 30th of this month, the film has received great support from Shivarajkumar. Directed by Chandrashekhar Bandiyappa, known for Rathaavara, the film is set to hit theatres with wishes from various Kannada film celebrities.
The pre-release event turned into a celebratory evening when Shivarajkumar attended as the chief guest. He personally wished the entire team success. Speaking at the event, he expressed his belief that good people deserve good things. He hoped the film would have a smooth and successful run. He praised producer Kallahalli Chandrashekhar for supporting meaningful cinema and encouraged him to make more films.
Shivanna also shared his long-standing admiration for director Chandrashekhar Bandiyappa, calling him a talented filmmaker with a strong emotional sense. He mentioned they had once planned to work together, though the project never happened. He spoke warmly of Sai Kumar, saying their connection is like brotherhood. Complimenting the cast and crew, he appreciated Pruthvi Ambar’s look in the film. He recalled watching Dhanya grow from a child artist to a performer who takes on diverse roles. He also praised Sachin Basrur’s music and the film’s cinematography.
Veteran actor Saikumar thanked Shivanna for supporting the film. He highlighted their ongoing collaboration and admired Shivanna’s unmatched energy. He described Chowkidar as a sincere team effort with a strong story, solid performances, and strong technical support. He urged audiences to support the film upon its release.
Chowkidar also stars Shwetha, known for Chaitrada Premanjali, and Sudharani in significant roles. Bigg Boss Kannada fame Dharma is also part of the ensemble.
The film explores the emotional bond between a father and son, blending feelings with family storytelling. Produced by Kallahalli Chandrashekhar under the VS Entertainment banner, with Vidhyadevi as co-producer, the film features songs written by V Nagendra Prasad, Pramod Maravante, and Santosh Naik. It has cinematography by Siddu Kanchanahalli and music by Sachin Basrur.
