The makers of America America 2 have unveiled the film's first single, 'Run Run', offering audiences the first musical glimpse of the long-awaited sequel to the 1997 Kannada classic America America. The song was launched at a special event attended by the cast and crew, where the makers also announced that the film will release in theatres on September 11.

Penned by director Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar, 'Run Run' has been composed by Mano Murthy and features the voices of celebrated singers Shankar Mahadevan and Shreya Ghoshal. The song was officially released by noted writer and editor Jogi, who wished the team success.

The launch event also turned into a nostalgic celebration of the creative partnership between Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar and Mano Murthy. Looking back at their association spanning nearly three decades, the duo shared memories of the music they have created together and reflected on the songs that have remained favourites among Kannada audiences.

America America marked Mano Murthy's debut as a film composer and gave Kannada cinema memorable songs such as Nooru Janmaku, Yaava Mohana Murali Kareyithu and Hegide Namma Desha. Since then, the filmmaker-composer duo has collaborated on films including Amruthadhare, Nanna Preethiya Hudugi, Mathad Mathadu Mallige and Olave Jeevana Lekkachara. America America 2 is their seventh film together.

The film's release date was unveiled by Prashanth, Managing Director of Mysore Sandal Soap. Starring Pruthvi Ambaar, Nirup Bhandari and Shanvi Srivastava in lead roles, America America 2 has been produced under the Nagathihalli Cine Creations banner. KVN Productions will distribute the film, which is also expected to release in several countries with sizeable Kannada-speaking audiences.
