Produced by Venkat K Narayana's KVN Productions in association with Yash's Monster Mind Creations, Toxic is set for a multilingual release on August 26, Wednesday. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film features an ensemble cast including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Rukmini Vasanth, Tara Sutaria and Huma Qureshi.
Referring to Yash's closing dialogue from the trailer, "It is time. I am coming," Shivarajkumar responded with a smile, "We are waiting," before addressing the audience and the film's team.
Speaking about Yash's growth over the years, Shivarajkumar said it was gratifying to see a Kannada actor mount a project of this magnitude.
"He has grown so much. Seeing a Kannadiga make a film of this scale makes me proud. It feels like someone from my own family has achieved something. I feel as happy as if I have achieved it myself. My brother has done a great job," he said.
Wishing Yash many more successes, Shivarajkumar added that the actor's achievements were a matter of pride for the Kannada film industry.
He also congratulated producer Venkat K Narayana for backing the ambitious project and acknowledged director Geetu Mohandas for bringing her vision to life.
