The recently released Kantara: Chapter 1 trailer has caught the attention of many within and outside of the Kannada film industry. The latest to express his admiration for the trailer for the highly anticipated film is actor Vivek Oberoi. "When talent possesses you, magic happens. That’s Kantara Chapter 1. Rishab Shetty! Just watched the trailer and I am spellbound!" Vivek said. The actor also recalled his meeting with the Kantara star and filmmaker. "I still remember our meeting in Abu Dhabi, where you shared the struggles you were facing during the shoot and judging by the trailer, it has all come together beautifully in Kantara: Chapter 1."

Vivek also gave a shout out to the production team behind the Kantara prequel at Hombale Films, describing their effort as "mammoth". Tagging the production banner's founder Vijay Kiragandur and co-founder Chaluve Gowda, Vivek asked them to "keep producing more such gems!"

The Company star also revealed that he is eagerly awaiting the release of the film, saying it "is going to be something special". The film also stars Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram, Gulshan Devaiah, PD Sathish Chandra, Pramod Shetty, and Prakash Thuminad, among others. It is slated for an October 02 release in theatres.
