Shivarajkumar, who has an exciting lineup of projects ahead, is currently filming for his next, DAD. The latest development around the project has caught attention with acclaimed Malayalam actor Suraj Venjaramoodu joining the cast, marking his entry into Kannada cinema.

Known for his exceptional performances in films like Android Kunjappan Version 5.25, Driving Licence, and The Great Indian Kitchen, Suraj brings emotional intensity and depth to every role he plays. His collaboration with Shivarajkumar in DAD might bring a unique blend of performance and storytelling.

The film is directed by Aneel Kanneganti and produced by Harish Peddi under the Myra Creations banner, the production house behind Telugu successes like Bhagavanth Kesari, Tuck Jagadish, and Majili.

DAD explores the tender bond between a father and his daughter, with Shivarajkumar sharing the screen with child artist Baby Nakshatra, who plays his daughter. Sharmiela Mandre also plays a pivotal role.

Behind the scenes, the film brings together a strong technical crew. B Rajasekar, known for his striking visuals in Arya 2 and Orange, handles cinematography. Music is by Arjun Janya, while Verma, who has frequently worked with Puri Jagannadh, takes charge of editing. Together, the team aims to deliver a film that’s heartfelt yet cinematic.

Described as a wholesome entertainer with emotional depth, DAD is expected to appeal to both families and fans of meaningful storytelling.

Meanwhile, Shivarajkumar’s schedule continues to stay packed. Alongside DAD, he has started work on Pavan Wadeyar’s next, which will be followed by Srini’s A for Anand early next year. The actor is also part of a project with Ram Charan and will soon share screen space once again with Superstar Rajinikanth in Jailer 2, following their collaboration in Jailer.
