Ekka is jointly backed by KRG Studios (Karthik Gowda and Yogi G. Rao), Jayanna Films (Jayanna and Bhogendra), and PRK Productions, which is led by Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar. Originally announced to hit screens on June 6, the makers have now officially postponed the release. Ekka will now hit the screens on July 18, 2025.

Directed by Rohit Padaki, Ekka marks his first collaboration with Yuva Rajkumar and the actor’s second film after his debut in Yuva. The recently released sneak peek from Ekka showed Yuva Rajkumar in a fierce new avatar—face paint, rugged costume, whistle, and shades—reminiscent of Puneeth Rajkumar. The teaser hints at a darker story filled with suspense and strong characters. The film stars Sampada and Sanjana Anand as the female leads, with Atul Kulkarni and Aditya in key roles.
With music by Charan Raj, cinematography by Satya Hegde, and editing by Deepu S Kumar, Ekka is in its final leg of post-production.
