The forthcoming multilingual film Koragajja, directed by Sahitya Akademi Award-winning author Sudheer Attavar, is gearing up for release. It delves into the story of Koragajja, one of the principal deities worshipped in the Karavali (Tulu Nadu) region of Karnataka.

Koragajja is headlined by Kabir Bedi, one of India's most renowned international actors. Others in the cast include Bhavya, Sandip Soparrkar, Ganesh Acharya, Shruthi and Naveen D Padil. On the technical front, it has cinematographer Manoj Pillai, music director Gopi Sundar, and editors Jith Joshie and Vidhyadhar Shetty.

Set approximately 800 years ago, the film reportedly explores the transformative journey of an indigenous youth from the 12th century who evolves into the divine figure of Koragajja. As per the makers, its narrative is enriched with elements of local tradition and folklore, including the Bhoota Kola—a ritualistic dance form that parallels the shamanistic performance prominently featured in the blockbuster Kannada film Kantara.

Additionally, Koragajja’s storyline is said to draw parallels with the legend of Kerala's revered deity Muthappan. Produced jointly by Success Films and Trivikram Cinemas, the film will be released in five languages: Tulu, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
