Two years on, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire stands firm as a film that reset expectations around scale, intensity, and Pan-India storytelling in Indian cinema.
Directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the Hombale Films banner, the film saw Prabhas in a fierce, commanding avatar, supported by Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, and a strong ensemble that added weight and edge to the narrative.
From a technical standpoint, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire arrived as a full-bodied cinematic experience, blending grand visuals, immersive sound, and tightly mounted action to create a world that felt both raw and imposing.
Work on the sequel is progressing at a measured pace. Around 20 percent of Salaar: Part 2 has already been filmed, with the remaining schedules planned to commence in 2026. The film is currently expected to hit screens by the end of 2027 or early 2028.
