Sahadev Kelavadi wins best debut director Jury award for Kenda at Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival

Sahadev Kelavadi's Kenda, which made it to the 2024 Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival in Delhi, recently received high praise. Despite tough competition, Kenda emerged victorious in the direction category at the festival, securing the prestigious Jury Award. Representing Kannada cinema among films in various languages, Kenda gives Sahadev Kelavadi another reason to celebrate as he receives the Best Debut Director Jury Award. The makers believe that winning an award at such a grand event is a significant achievement.

Kenda is set to release in June and has music by Ritwik Kaykini, cinematography by Pradeep Nayak, and art direction by Lakshmikant Joshi. The film features an ensemble cast including B.V. Bharath, Pranav Shridhar, Vinod Sushil, Gopalkrishna Deshpande, Sachin Srinath, Bindu Rakshith, Sharat Gowda, Sateesh Kumar, Archana Shyam, Prithvi Banavasi, and Deepti Nagendra in prominent roles.
