Kichcha Sudeepa's Max clears censorship formalities

The much-discussed thriller Max, starring Kichcha Sudeepa and directed by Vijay Kartikeyaa, has earned a 'U/A' certification from the censor board ahead of its eagerly awaited release. The film is set to hit theaters in Kannada on December 25, with the Tamil and Telugu versions following on December 27.

With less than two weeks to go, anticipation around Max is building, and the makers are preparing for the grand audio launch event on Sunday, December 15.

A one-night thriller, Max features Sudeepa in the role of a police officer and marks a significant milestone for producer Kalaippuli S Thanu's V Creations as the company makes its debut in Kannada cinema, collaborating with Kichcha Creations. The film boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Sudha Belawadi, Samyukta Hornad, and Sukrutha Wagle, with Ajaneesh Loknath composing the music and Shekar Chandra handling the cinematography.

The year 2024 for Kannada films to end with two major releases from some of its biggest stars. Kichcha Sudeepa's Max and Real Star Upendra's UI will both be hitting screens in multiple languages—UI on December 20 and Max on December 25. Interestingly, these two stars, who worked together in Mukunda Murari and later in the pan-Indian film Kabzaa, will now see their films released just five days apart, adding extra excitement to the season.
