Actor Darshan, who is under investigation in the Renukaswamy murder case, is facing stringent conditions in Ballari Jail following his transfer from Parappana Agrahara Jail. This move comes after issues over Darshan’s privileges at the previous jail, prompting the prison department to enforce stricter rules.

At Parappana Agrahara Jail, Darshan was allowed visits from family, friends, and even actors like Vinod Prabhakar, director Tharun Kishore Sudhir, Danveer, and Abishek Ambareesh, and even Chikkanna, who is a witness in the case, visited the actor in jail. However, at Ballari Jail, only Darshan’s spouse, close family members, and legal representatives can visit him. Visits from celebrities and political figures are now banned to ensure security.

Under the direction of TP Shesh, Deputy Inspector General of Prisons for the Northern Zone, Ballari Jail has introduced strict measures, and accordingly, Darshan is housed in a separate cell with 24/7 CCTV monitoring. The CCTV footage of his activities is reviewed daily, and senior staff oversee his section to maintain order. The jailer and senior officials conduct routine inspections, and Darshan is being treated like any other inmate.
