Previously, at Parappana Agrahara, Darshan was known by undertrial number 6106. Out of the 17, including actor Darshan, among them 12 other inmates involved were also relocated to different prisons across Karnataka. Seven jail officers were suspended, and an investigation is underway. To prevent similar incidents, new measures including CCTV cameras and jammers will be implemented, and standard jail rules will be enforced.
