Bhairathi Ranagal, directed by Narthan and featuring Shivarajkumar in the lead role, was officially launched on Friday. Producer Geetha Sivarajkumar, who is bankrolling the film under the Geetha Pictures banner, attended the muhurath along with her daughter Niveditha Shivarajkumar, KP Srikanth, and the rest of the film crew.

The character of Bhairathi Ranagal, portrayed by Shivarajkumar in the 2017 film Mufti, continues to have a lasting impact on the audience. This new story revolves around the origins of the character and serves as a prequel to Mufti. The makers also announced the technical crew, with Ravi Basrur handling the music direction, Naveen Kumar taking charge of cinematography, and Shivakumar serving as the art director.

Expressing his excitement about reprising his favourite character, Bhairati Ranagal, Shivarajkumar says, “It has been six years since Mufti but the character remains close to my heart. Narthan has crafted an engaging story. Since it is a prequel, my appearance will be different too.”
