The makers of Dhoomam announced that the film's trailer will be released on Thursday at 12:59 PM. 

Directed by Kannada filmmaker Pawan Kumar, the film stars Fahadh Faasil in the lead role. The film is backed by Hombale Films, the production house that bankrolled the KGF films and Kantara. The film is said to release in Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu. Dhoomam also stars Roshan Mathew Aparna Balamurali, and Vineeth in pivotal roles. The announcement poster features Fahadh Faasil with a scar near his forehead, and his mouth is closed with band-aids. We also get to see the rest of the cast in the background. Pawan Kumar's regular collaborator Poornachandra Tejaswi is composing the music while Preetha Jayaraman handles the cinematography.
