Cinematographer-turned-director PVR Swamy, who has worked in Tamil, Kannada, and Tulu films (Andolana, Rajatantra, and Mariyade Rajatantra) has taken a new responsibility as a distributor. His first venture will be a horror drama titled Riya.

The film slated to release on September 16 is directed by Kanigonda Vijaya Naresh and has Kartik Vernekar, and Savithri playing the leads. The film also stars a child artiste named Ananya VS.

Riya made under the Kanigonda Creations has BR Hemanth Kumar and Samarth as music directors. The film has cinematography by Suresh Achu.
