Rishab Shetty: Rajinikanth sir and I had a long conversation about Kantara

A Sharadhaa

We had earlier reported that Rajinikanth praised the recent National sensation, Kantara. He called the Rishab Shetty directorial "a masterpiece of Indian cinema." Rajinikanth's tweet praising the film went viral on social media.

We reached out to Rishab to know his response to Superstar's call of appreciation. "I got a call from Soundarya last night who then put me on to Rajinikanth sir. He sounded excited in his conversation about Kantara, and appreciated everything about the film. He also expressed interest in meeting me and invited me to his home in Chennai. In fact, he even promised to visit my place whenever he is in Bengaluru. We had a good conversation in Kannada, and he spoke about the writing, direction and performances in Kantara. I also told him that I am his fan and tried to copy his signature style in a song sequence. And he laughed in his own signature style."

Kantara features Rishab in the lead role and stars Sapthami Gowda alongside him. With cinematography by Arvind Kashyap and music by Ajaneesh Lokanath, Kantara features Kishore, Achyuth Kumar, and Pramod Shetty in supporting roles.
