Baahubali producer Shobu Yarlagadda praises Kantara

Producer Shobu Yarlagadda, best known for bankrolling the Baahubali films, is the latest prominent name from the film fraternity to shower praises on Rishab Shetty's folklore action drama, Kantara.

The producer took to Twitter on Sunday that he was "mind blown" after seeing the film. "No film has touched me at the core as this film! Its cinematic brilliance!! The climax..Oh my god!"

The producer requested people to watch the film on the big screen. "Please watch it in theatres! What performances, cinematography and music! Take a bow Rishab Shetty, Hombale Films and the entire team!" he added.

The film was also appreciated by Anushka Shetty, Karthi and Prithviraj Sukumaran, who went on to distribute the film's Malayalam version.

Kantara, which was originally released in Kannada on September 30, was met with glowing reviews, encouraging the makers to quickly dub it into Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi, and expand the release across the nation.

The film emerged as one of the most acclaimed Indian films of the year.
