Renowned actor-writer Bhargavi Narayan passes away at 84

She is the wife of Belavadi Nanjundaiah Narayana, popular known as Makeup Nani. She is also the mother of actors Sudha Belavadi and Prakash Belavadi

Famous writer-actor Bhargavi Narayan (84), who was battling age-related issues passed away on Monday evening. She is the wife of Belavadi Nanjundaiah Narayana, popular known as Makeup Nani. She is also the mother of actors Sudha Belavadi and Prakash Belavadi.

Samyuta Hornad, her granddaughter took to Twitter to share the news. "My grandma Ajji Bhajji has passed on, today at 7.30 pm," she wrote.

Bhargavi was a member of Karnataka Nataka Academy and has written and directed numerous plays. As an artist, she had worked in over 22 films including Eradu Kanasu, Hanthakana Sanchu, and Pallavi Anupallavi among others. She was also a part of popular teleserials - Manthana and Mukta.

Bhargavi has penned a book named Naa Kanda Nammavaru in Kannada. She was a recipient of the Karnataka State Sahitya Academy Award.
