Fan wars, which were limited to social media, have now extended their vicious claws to real life too. The recent launch event of Bombe Bombe, the second single from Darshan's Kranti, featured the cast and crew of the film, including Challenging star Darshan and Rachita Ram.
However, things didn't go well when someone from the gathering hurled a slipper at the Challenging star. The incident happened when team Kranti took to the stage, and when Rachita Ram was addressing the crowd. Darshan who was anchoring the show did not react harshly to the incident and continued with the event. The video of this incident has gone viral, and fans of Darshan are hurt and outraged, and are expressing their ire on social media.
The incident has also caught the attention of politicians and actors in the Kannada film industry, who have come in support of Darshan and had them posting #WeStandWithDarshan.
While politician PC Mohan put up a note saying the culprit should be caught and punished, Century Star Shivarajkumar has put up a video message condemning the whole act. "This kind of inhumane incident hurts all of us, as we all belong to the same family. I request that no one should forget humanity and commit such acts. Show love with admiration, and not hate or disrespect (sic)."
Meanwhile, this is the second song launch event of Kranti, and the first one was held in Mysuru. The team has planned a few more such public events ahead of its release.
Directed by V Harikrishna and produced by Media House Studio, Kranti also has Ravichandran, Umashree, and Ravi Shankar in important roles.
