Karnataka High Court blocks first episode of Netflix's Crime Story: India Detectives

The four-part docu-series follows the Bengaluru police investigation in real-time

The first episode of Netflix's docu-series Crime Story: India Detectives has been blocked as per the direction of the Karnataka High Court. On October 1, the court issued the order after hearing a petition from one of the accused in a murder case, documented by the docu-series. 

The first episode of the series, titled A Murdered Mother, was ordered to be banned by Justice BM Shyam Prasad as it would cause prejudice against the petitioner in the investigation.

The episode follows the investigation of a murder of a mother by her daughter. The perpetrator's alleged lover is also named as one of the accused in the investigation, who has now asked for the ban of the episode. He argued in court that the episode can affect his defence.
