We had earlier reported about Biju Menon signing a film titled Thundu with debutant filmmaker Riyas Shereef. Produced jointly by Aashiq Usman and cinematographer Jimshi Khalid, the film went on floors on Saturday. It is co-scripted by Riyas and Kannappan based on the former's story. The film also stars Shine Tom Chacko, Unnimaya Prasad, Shaju Sreedhar, Noushad Ali, and Zhinz Shan in important roles. Jimishi Khalid cranks the camera while Nabu Usman serves as the editor. Vishnu Vijay will be handling the film's music.

Biju Menon, last seen in Thankam, has a slew of other films lined up. It includes Garudan, a legal thriller co-starring Suresh Gopi,Maradona-fame Vishnu Narayan's directorial Nadanna Sambhavam, Meppadiyan director Vishnu Mohan's romantic film Kadha Innuvare and Jis Joy's untitled project, which also features Asif Ali.
