The makers of director Smeep Kang's Carry On Jatta 4 dropped a teaser for the upcoming film earlier this Thursday. Interestingly, the teaser shows the late Jaswinder Bhalla recreated with the use of CG and VFX. Jaswinder died before the commencement of the film's production, but the latest cinematic technology has brought the actor, best known for his comic timing, back on to the screen, much to the excitement of Punjabi cinema audiences.

Besides Jaswinder, Carry On Jatta 4 stars Gippy Grewal, Sargun Mehta, Binnu Dhillon, Karamjit Anmol, Shinda Grewal, Jasmine Bajwa, and Sweetaj Brar.

The process of CG and VFX spanned more than six months, and it involved carefully sourcing and scanning footage from an earlier film starring the actor to help confirm a respectful and authentic portrayal.

Speaking about the recreation, the film's producer Gippy Grewal said, "Jaswinder Bhalla paaji wasn’t just an actor to us, he was family, a guiding light, and the soul of Carry On Jatta. Bringing him back, even for a moment, is emotional beyond words. Through Carry On Jatta 4, we haven’t recreated him, we are celebrating him. His laughter, his energy, his spirit… they still live with us, and always will. This is our humble tribute to a legend who never really left us."

The team behind the franchise has paid this homage to Jaswinder with the permission and well wishes of his wife, Parmdeep, as they found it appropriate owing to the actor's integral role in building the legacy of the film series. Besides celebrating Jaswinder' enduring impact on cinema, the initiative aims to allow his admirers to connect with him again, with all his charm and the brilliance that defines his work.

The makers expect that the Carry On Jatta 4 teaser will bring an overwhelming feeling of nostalgia, warmth, and excitement to the audience.

Backed by Gippy and Ravneet Kaur Grewal and presented by Humble Motion Pictures FZCO, the movie is scheduled for a June 26 release in theatres.
