The production banner Production IG released a trailer for the second part of the Haikyu!! Final anime film series through social media on Sunday that served as a title announcement. Susumu Mitsunaka is set to come back as the director for the conclusion of the Haikyu!! Final series. It serves as a continuation of 2024's Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle. The film, titled Haikyu!! vs The Little Giant, follows on from the events of the first part in which the Karasuno High School team progresses to the quarter-finals of the Spring High volleyball tournament. In the next round, they are set to take on the Kamomedai High School team, the main player of which, Korai Hoshiumi, has a nickname—'The Little Giant'—that is identical to a player whom he admired in the past.

The film series is an adaptation of Haruichi Furudate's Haikyu!! manga series and is described as a "slice-of-life sports anime."

While Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle hit theatres in Japan in February last year, the makers are yet to announce a release date for the second part.
